You know you'd get a lot better response if you tried to title your
posting appropriately. "Now servicing Wpg area" says nothing. You
could be anything from an auto mechanic to a plumber. People usually
only read what they are interested in. How about
"Wood Restoration & Refinishing"
(Keep it short so it fits in most people's columns.)

Crossposting to appropriate groups is entirely... well, "appropriate". IIRC,
general "for sale" groups in the general area he is working are
appropriate -- though most news servers or ISPs' TOS limit crossposting to
6-9 groups max.

Considering the groups chosen were appropriate, crossposting was the
right thing to do.

Posting a separate message in each group would have been stupid. It would
have been a waste of time and server space.
